How Music Therapy Helps Us Transform

From Healing Mental Health Issues and Relationships, to Realigning with our Values. JD Kalmenson, CEO of Montare Behavioral Health, a growing mental and behavioral health company in Southern California, interviews Tim Ringgold, a board certified music therapist who has worked with thousands of teens and adults, helping them to use music as a profound healing tool. Tim is the host of the “Reduce Your Stress” podcast and Summit, and author of “Sonic Recovery, Harness the Power of Music to Stay Sober.” He has provided music therapy to thousands of teens and adults in hospitals and treatment centers since 2008. Tim is also an award winning international speaker, having shared the stage with some of the top minds on music, the brain, and personal development, including Tony Robbins. Tim was the first person to give a TEDx talk on music therapy in 2012. Tim is also a former Regional President of the American Music Therapy Association. Tim walked into his first 12 step meeting in 2003, so he knows personally what it's like to work - and PLAY - a program of recovery. Host Kalmenson is the CEO/Founder of Renewal Health Group, a family of treatment centers, and Montare Behavioral Health, a luxury brand of mental health treatment facilities in Southern California. Kalmenson is a Yale Chabad Scholar, a skilled facilitator, teacher, counselor, and speaker, who has provided chaplain services to prisons, local groups and remote villages throughout the world. His diverse experience as a rabbi, chaplain, and CEO has inspired his passion and deep understanding of the necessity for effective mental health treatment and long-term sobriety.
